Why do I receive "The file is not compatible with iPod. Please convert the file before copying" error?
Please open SoundTaxi settings and find Encoder for Audio files / Encoder for video files. Check your output file format currently selected . Most probably, there were selected the output file format, which is not compatible with iPod/iPhone/iPad.
How to fix "The file is not compatible with iPod. Please convert the file before copying" error?
In order to fix this problem, please convert your files to an iPod / iPhone / iPad compatible format.
iPod/iPhone/iPad audio formats supported: MP3 (MPEG layer-3), M4A (MPEG4 AAC).
iPod/iPhone/iPad video formats supported: iPod MPEG4 Video (MP4).
Please open SoundTaxi Settings and find "Encoder for audio files". You can select MP3 or M4A (MPEG4 AAC) format from the drop-down list.
If you want to convert video files to an iPod / iPhone / iPad compatible format, please select iPod/iPhone/iPad Video (MP4) from the drop-down list (Settings->Ecoder for video files).
